About the Publisher

Local Secrets is a Cambridge-based publisher that began as the Wavy-Haired Reader Ltd in 1997, and initially producing the local magazine, The Cambridge Insider. Later the name was changed to Local Secrets and it went on to publish local living and restaurant guides. Later it shifted to online publication, producing localsecrets.com, a listing site with things to do, events and articles for the region. The site was closed in February 2017, and since then Local Secrets has focused on publishing books.
